Silkun tethers himself to the branches of the tree with silk to prevent him from falling. There Pokémon hangs quietly and waits for evolution. Sometimes he peers into a silk cocoon environment through a small hole.

Silkun does not need food until it evolves. However, Pokémon quenches his thirst with rainwater accumulating on his silk.
